OLD TOTTONIANS 1st XV 10 v HARROW 1st XV 27

 @ Churchfields 17- 09-05.

Tott's were leading this "Cup Encounter" against a team from London league 4NW, with only 14 men and seconds to go!
It was the visiting team who made all the early moves, as the Tott's gave their higher opposition too much respect! It wasn't till a big tackle from Tott's 'open-side flanker Danny Foster. On the man mountain No8, who had picked up the ball and charged the line. He went back just as quick as he had come!! This put a belief into the Tott's. Not before to long both Wesley Grant and Richard Clack had probed gaps in the line. As the Harrow team turned up the pressure, Tott's never buckled. A huge run from centre Tony Morley put 'Skipper Mark Hutchings in under the post's. Gareth Bennett slotted the conversion. Sadly Tott's centre had to leave the field, with an injury which will side-line him for at least six weeks.
Not to be out done the visitors re-piled with a try, almost from the re-start! as the conversion was missed Tott's went in at the break 7-5 up.
Was it the fact that Tott's being in a lower division.  Allowed Harrow to punch both the Scrum-half and Tott's No8 to the floor as all hell was let loose in the first scrum of the second half?? With the Ref jumping in with "Whistle" blowing, all he saw was the Tott's No8 retaliate with a punch and had to dismiss the player. Now down to fourteen men. Tott's had to call on two of the second team players. Who were on the next pitch to fill in for another two injury's!! During this change around a bit of quick thinking by the fly-half, put Tott's in a good position for attack. The Harrow side killed the play and the Ref had no option than too award a penalty with a few minutes to go. Now 10-5 up and going into the added time for the sending off etc. Tott's let the Harrow winger in the corner to send the game into extra-time.
0-0 after the first fifteen minutes. Then at the start of the second period. Harrow slotted a penalty. The flood gates just opened. For all their heroics Tott's let in two quick soft try's to be denied a giant killing win.

OLD TOTT'S 2nd XV 57 v SOUTHGATE XV 0

Gary Neal(2), Bazza Scott, Guy Waterman,Mark Goodrich, David Moss,Simon Reed and Andrew Beale all crossed the line. Norman Neal conveted 7 from 8 plus one penalty.
This win puts Tott's 2's in good shape for the return of their Captain James "BIFF" Butt and the forth comming league fixture. Away against Upper Clapton
