OLD TOTTONIANS 1st XV

 Postponed

OLD TOTTONIANS 2nd XV 52 v BORHAMWOOD RFC 10 @Churchfields.

For the second week running. Tott's second string were let down by the opposition travelling!! Thanks to the wonderful work of the fixture exchange . A game was found against Borhamwood, who only had 10 players!! Owing to there being no 1st XV fixture there were plenty of Tott's to fill in the gaps!!

The return of Roy Stollberrg to Tott's ranks put in an extra attacking edge. Along with the 4 fellow "South-Africans" who followed him down!!
It was not long before Tott's scored as the "Fly-half" Andrea Piezberg broke the line and walked unopposed under the post's. From a line out steal No8 Craig Cox powered over the line. From the resulting kick-off the Tott's "Hooker" gathered the ball and delayed his pass, this gave just enough time for live-wire No6 Dolph Du Toit to take the ball at speed and pace, a little jink and he was able to score again under the post's. All three of these try's were converted by the "Fly-half". Tott's now were dominating in all area's especially with Simon Reed joining the line at "Full-Back" causing all kinds of havoc.
As Tott's kicked for position up field a fumbled clearance brought the ball back into Gareth Bennett's hands who slid in the corner. Next up after a fine inter Forward/Back move, Roy Stollberg in the tightest of angles was able to score in the corner.
Just before the "LADY" Ref blew for half-time Simon Reed took advantage of a quick Penalty. But was denied a try in the corner. (Both the last two try's were missed) Half time 31-0
Doing their most to keep a clean sheet. Tott's let in a sloppy try from the back of a scrum.
Now with their line breached Tott's attacked and the Hapless Borhamwood was bundled back. They dropped the ball and like a flash Du Toit was on it for his second try of the game. Now once again Simon Reed was involved, this time at the start,  catching a long punted kick forward and ending the move by taking the missed pass to score under the post's.
The visitors got another try after (Tott's Sub) Emmanuel "BABA" Sonubi broke the line and touched down in the corner.
The last try was from "Hooker" Gary Stephens from the back of a ruck he seemed to go "Blind", as the defence went with him (or so they thought) he changed direction and burrowed in under the post's.
